Job Description
Industry4 Automation Engineer will be mainly responsible for following tasks –
- Installation, commissioning and support of PlantConnect for various applications and verticals
- Programming of PLC and HMI used as part of PlantConnect
- Establish connectivity of PlantConnect RTDAS with various PLCs, smart sensors and other equipment
- Configuration of PlantConnect
- Interactions with customer engineers related to site setup including hardware, network, cabling etc.
- Troubleshooting
- Training of users
- Documentation related to above tasks
- Any other tasks assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Diploma / Engineering graduate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
- PLC, HMI programming courses
Skills
- PLC and HMI programming experience of at least one of these brands – Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Renu, Delta
- Understanding of communication protocols like Modbus, OPC
- Basic networking knowledge – Ethernet, RS485
- Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to build rapport with customer engineers and domain users
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Work experience in Industry 4.0 projects is highly desirable
